AHERA-Compliant Asbestos Inspection Completed

November 9, 2017

Riverwood Classical School has been inspected by an EPA-approved asbestos inspector and maintains a management plan file in the school office as required under the AHERA regulations. The file is available to any parent to view.

Most of our suspect asbestos containing materials are in the form of sheet-vinyl flooring, and sheetrock wall joints and are non-friable (not able to crumble with hand pressure). These materials are well maintained. The law requires that we make this notice to all employees, students and staff annually.

We are glad to provide a healthy atmosphere for students and staff.

January 1, 2018

The suspect asbestos containing materials identified in the management plan have been removed from the school building, including all sheet-vinyl flooring, the sheetrock joint tape, and a sink with asbestos containing insulation.
